Turkey continues to strengthen Azerbaijan's defense capabilities, viewing it as a fraternal state and a key ally in the region. This was stated by Turkish Minister of National Defense Yaşar Güler, who emphasized that cooperation is based on the principle of "one people, two states, one army."
In Chechnya, a woman who survived Stalin's deportation has been recognized as entitled to benefits
The Gudermes City Court has ruled that the Chechen Ministry of Internal Affairs' refusal to issue Maria Gebertuyeva a rehabilitation certificate, which would allow her to receive social benefits, was illegal. The agency had previously denied her this right, citing the lack of all documents. The woman was born in Kazakhstan, where her parents were sent during Stalin's deportation.
In 1944, Gebertuyeva's parents, along with other Chechens and Ingush, were deported to Kazakhstan. They returned to their homeland after the restoration of the Chechen-Ingush ASSR in 1957.
Despite Maria Gebertuyeva's attempts to obtain a rehabilitation certificate, the Ministry of Internal Affairs refused her, allegedly due to the lack of relevant data in the special settlers' card index. However, she provided documents on the rehabilitation of her parents and a birth certificate. As a result, the court ruled that the refusal was illegal and ordered the agency to issue the certificate.
