In Dagestan, a woman could be arrested as a participant in mass riots at Makhachkala airport

According to officially unconfirmed data, a court in Makhachkala remanded Patimat Sharudinova, suspected of participating in the pogrom at Makhachkala airport, in custody until the end of December. She is charged with participation in mass riots (Article 212 Part 2 of the Criminal Code - up to 8 years in prison). Local telegram channels report this.

The media refers to the petition of the woman’s niece demanding her release. The author claims that Sharudinova was driving past the airport and stopped to inquire about the reasons for the crowd of people. She did not participate in the protest and did not violate public order, the author of the petition claims. At the same time, Telegram channels publish a video in which a woman resembling Patimat Sharudinova, holding a Palestinian flag, calls on the crowd at the airport not to be afraid of security.

A total of 11 people were detained on suspicion of organizing mass unrest at the airport. One of them is 52-year-old resident of the village of Manasket Gadzhi Imanmurzaev, a former employee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

On October 29, in Makhachkala, local residents, chanting Palestinian slogans, broke onto the airport runway after the arrival of a flight from Tel Aviv. It was reported that they were looking for arriving Israeli citizens.
