Previously, over 330 cases were sent to the courts of Dagestan under administrative articles regarding violation of the procedure for holding public events and hooliganism. The defendants were sentenced to punishments ranging from fines of 10 thousand rubles or more to arrest for a period of 10 days. Most of those arrested did not admit their guilt, claiming that they happened to be at the site of the protests. Others said they came to participate to express solidarity with the Palestinian people.
