In Dagestan, a criminal case was opened against a blogger for criticizing the Russian army

The Dagestan prosecutor's office sent a criminal case to court against blogger Arslan Mirzaev (Ali Charinsky). He is accused of spreading fake news about the Russian army and promoting terrorism.

The case will be heard in absentia in the Southern District Military Court. The investigation claims that Mirzaev published false information about crimes committed by Russian military personnel in the Ukrainian cities of Bucha and Mariupol, as well as materials promoting terrorism.

Arslan Mirzaev is accused under Part 1 of Article 207.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Public dissemination of knowingly false information about the use of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation") and Part 2 of Article 205.2 ("Public justification and propaganda of terrorism").
