Massive flooding has occurred again in Dagestan

Heavy rains have caused further flooding in Dagestan. They have flooded the streets of Makhachkala, including the area near the Primorskaya substation, as well as sections of the Kavkaz federal highway and roads in the Derbent district.

Deep puddles on the roadway are significantly impeding traffic. Officials are urging residents to stay home. The Dagestan Prosecutor's Office has launched an investigation into compliance with housing and utilities legislation.

As a reminder, the republic's authorities previously announced financial assistance of 15,600 rubles to everyone affected by the flooding, as well as compensation for lost property, health damage, and the death of loved ones. By April 2, more than 4,000 claims for damages had been received.
