In Dagestan, the stadium named after Elena Isinbayeva returned the old name

The authorities of Dagestan renamed the athletics stadium in the center of Makhachkala, bearing the name of two-time Olympic champion in pole vaulting Elena Isinbayeva. He returned the former name "Labor". This is stated in the official decree of the government of Dagestan.

Earlier, Elena Isinbayeva was expelled from the central headquarters of the All-Russian Popular Front. She distanced herself from the Russian Olympic Committee, in which she is a member of the executive committee, said the head of the ROC Pozdnyakov.

Recall that recently Isinbayeva published a post in which she reacted to the publications of the Spanish media that she lives on the island of Tenerife, remaining a confidant of Putin. The athlete wrote that she lives where she wants, because she is a “man of the world” and has never been fond of politics. For this, Isinbayeva began to be criticized, and the head of Dagestan, Sergei Melikov, instructed to rename the Makhachkala athletics stadium, named after her.
