During a live broadcast, Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov commented on the case of political prisoner Zarema Musayeva—the wife of federal judge Saidi Yangulbayev and mother of opposition activists Abubakar, Ibrahim, and Baysangur Yangulbayev. He claimed the woman was "taken" to Chechnya because her family members "worked on social media." A relevant excerpt from the broadcast was published by Chechen opposition blogger Tumso Abdurakhmanov.
The Soviet District Court of Makhachkala refused to satisfy the claim of journalist Idris Yusupov against the Ministry of Internal Affairs for illegal detention during a mass protest against military mobilization on September 26, 2022. This was reported by the Center for the Protection of Human Rights "Memorial".
Yusupov was illegally held at the police station for 18 hours, without food or drink, with numerous human rights violations. At the same time, the representative of the defendant claimed that Yusupov was not detained, was not taken to the police department and was not kept there - he allegedly came and sat there voluntarily for 18 hours.
Idris Yusupov asked that the actions of the Interior Ministry employees be recognized as illegal and unjustified. As a result, the judge dismissed the administrative claim.
