On the eve of US Vice President J.D. Vance's visit to Armenia and Azerbaijan, more than 20 Armenian human rights and civil society organizations sent him an open letter calling for support for the release of Armenian prisoners held in Baku.

A memorial plaque to journalist and human rights activist Anna Politkovskaya has been removed in Moscow for the eighth time. Kirill Goncharov, chairman of the Moscow regional branch of the Yabloko party, announced the incident, posting a photo from the scene.

The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry summoned the Russian ambassador in response to statements by Russian State Duma deputy Konstantin Zatulin. Baku protests Zatulin's position, which they believe has long attacked Azerbaijan's sovereignty, encouraged separatism, and distorted information about the trials of Armenian citizens found guilty of war crimes.

Several media outlets, primarily nationalist ones, have reported that an ambulance driver in Moscow "performed" namaz next to a parked ambulance while waiting for medics on a call. The "incident" reportedly occurred in the Butovo district of Moscow.
