A criminal case was opened in Dagestan against the wife of a man mobilized in the Northern Military District

The Supreme Court of Dagestan, at the request of the investigation, extended the preventive measure for a resident of Makhachkala, who is the wife of a man mobilized to the “SVO”. She is subject to restrictions in the form of a ban on certain activities, including the obligation not to leave the house at night. A criminal case was opened against the woman for organizing the activities of an extremist organization.

It is not specified what exactly the crime was charged against her; her last name is also hidden. The woman told the court that her husband had been mobilized since August 2023 and was in Ukraine, in the combat zone. There he was wounded and was treated in a military hospital.

In addition, the accused is raising a child with disabilities. He needs regular treatment outside of Dagestan. The woman’s father suffers from cancer and lives in Chechnya, and her mother lives alone in the village.
