On suspicion of organizing mass riots at Makhachkala airport in connection with the arrival of a flight from Israel (Article 212 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), 11 people were detained. The investigation considers 52-year-old Gadzhi Imanmurzaev to be the instigator, as he stood with a megaphone in his hands.
Imanmurzaev does not admit guilt. Moreover, since 2010, he has participated in smaller rallies twice. It is noteworthy that the man worked for two years in a unit of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Dagestan, then worked as a cash collector.
In total, more than 200 protesters were detained. The vast majority received administrative fines and arrests.
On October 29, in Makhachkala, local residents, chanting Palestinian slogans, broke onto the airport runway after the arrival of a flight from Tel Aviv. It was reported that they were looking for arriving Israeli citizens.
