Agreements to cease hostilities in Karabakh were announced in Yerevan

Through the mediation of the command of the Russian peacekeepers, an agreement was reached to cease hostilities in Karabakh. A truce was declared from 13:00 on September 20, Armenian media write.

Baku has not yet confirmed the information. However, a briefing by the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense is scheduled at 13:00.

Earlier, the Azerbaijani Armed Forces distributed leaflets among the Armenian population of Karabakh. The text calls on the separatists to surrender their weapons, and guarantees that the civilian population will be provided with food and medical care, as well as treatment in accordance with international humanitarian law.
