Several "unpresentable" houses demolished in Grozny
Several private houses were demolished in the capital of Chechnya, Grozny, whose appearance did not please the head of the republic, Ramzan Kadyrov. We are talking about real estate located on Shaumyan and Saikhanov streets - in the area of Minutka Square.

What served as the legal basis for the demolition and whether the damage to the owners of the destroyed houses will be compensated to any extent is unknown. Judging by the statements of the head of Chechnya, this looked like a punishment for the improper, from his point of view, care of Grozny residents for their property, which ended up on the site of planned mega-construction projects in one of the central parts of the capital of Chechnya.

Let us recall that about a year ago, the head of Chechnya instructed the mayor of Grozny, his relative Khas-Magomed Kadyrov, to conduct an inspection of the city's improvements. Following the inspection, the head of the region ordered "to transfer ownerless and unpresentable land plots to the ownership of Grozny and find a more rational use for them."

“I have been saying for many years that it is unacceptable to have ownerless or abandoned lands within the capital. Today, during an inspection together with my dear BROTHER, the mayor of Grozny Khas-Magomed Kadyrov, I drew attention to this category of plots. Not only do they disfigure the appearance of the city, but also, despite all our comments, the owners have not taken any measures to bring them into proper condition for the past two decades. The irresponsible approach of the owners and the unwillingness to wisely manage their territory have led most of them to a deplorable sanitary state,” Ramzan Kadyrov wrote at the time in his Telegram channel.

The recent incident attracted the attention of the opposition Chechen blogger Tumso Abdurakhmanov. On November 18, he published a video showing viewers the area where, as he claims, the houses that fell out of favor with Kadyrov were located. Now there is a vacant lot in their place. Tumso emphasized the location of the site near the residence of the head of the republic.

"Some kind of Kadyrov settlement will also be built there: either they will settle his close associates, or they will build something that will bring profit to Kadyrov and his family," the blogger shared his predictions.

On November 8 of this year, Tumso Abdurakhmanov was included in the "Ministry of Justice" register of foreign agents, and in June 2021, Rosfinmonitoring added him to the list of extremists.
