In Georgia, deputies and members of the government almost doubled their salaries
From 2025, the salary of an ordinary member of the Georgian Parliament will be 8,250 GEL (about $3,000) instead of 4,624. This is four times more than the average nominal salary in the country. The income of the Speaker of the Parliament increased from 6,260 to 10,000 GEL (about $3.6 thousand).

From 15 to 20 thousand lari ($5.3-7.1 thousand), one-time assistance to the family of the deputy will increase in the event of his death from an attack.

Members of the Georgian government also increased their incomes. Thus, the prime minister's salary will be 13,300 GEL (about $4.8 thousand), and the minister's salary will be 11,305 GEL (about $4 thousand).

As a reminder, mass protests against the results of the parliamentary elections held on October 26, 2024 continue in Georgia. Then the ruling party "Georgian Dream" officially won the majority of votes. The opposition and its supporters consider the party pro-Russian.
