Nineteen of the 20 bodies of those killed in the crash of a Turkish military plane have been found in Georgia

Following the crash of a Turkish C-130 military plane in Georgia's Sighnaghi region, Azerbaijan, Turkey, and Georgia formed a joint international team to investigate the cause of the tragedy.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced the recovery of the black box. Search and rescue operations are ongoing; the bodies of 19 victims have been recovered, and the search for one more is ongoing. Erdogan expressed condolences over the deaths of the 20 servicemen on board the plane, which was returning from events commemorating the anniversary of the Victory in Karabakh.

A criminal investigation has been opened in Georgia for a violation of flight safety regulations that resulted in the deaths.

On November 11, a Turkish C-130 military transport plane crashed in eastern Georgia. It was flying from Azerbaijan to Turkey and disappeared from radar shortly after entering Georgian airspace.
