Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze posed for a photo with several politicians, including Russian President Vladimir Putin, at a forum in Turkmenistan dedicated to the International Year of Peace and Trust. The Georgian opposition interpreted the presence of representatives of the ruling Georgian Dream party at the event alongside Putin as a decision to reconsider the country's foreign policy.
The Elbrus District Court extended the detention of 66-year-old Larisa Baragunova, who suffers from diabetes and high blood pressure, in a pre-trial detention center. She is accused of using violence against a police officer and calling for extremism.
We will remind, Baragunova was arrested in March after searches in her house, where she allegedly hit a police officer. In 2019, the woman created a branch of the Union SSR Trade Union public organization, which, according to her, is engaged in protecting the rights of citizens. According to the security officials, the participants in this movement do not accept the Russian Federation and consider it an illegitimate country. Baragunova left a daughter with a disability, for whom there is no one to look after.
