Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated that part of the Armenian opposition is interested in tightening Russian restrictions on imports into the country. According to him, economic pressure should lead to a crisis and protests, which could then be used to change the government.
The Elbrus District Court extended the detention of 66-year-old Larisa Baragunova, who suffers from diabetes and high blood pressure, in a pre-trial detention center. She is accused of using violence against a police officer and calling for extremism.
We will remind, Baragunova was arrested in March after searches in her house, where she allegedly hit a police officer. In 2019, the woman created a branch of the Union SSR Trade Union public organization, which, according to her, is engaged in protecting the rights of citizens. According to the security officials, the participants in this movement do not accept the Russian Federation and consider it an illegitimate country. Baragunova left a daughter with a disability, for whom there is no one to look after.
