In the Karachayevsky District of the Karachayevsky Republic, the search for a Moscow tourist missing after a catamaran capsized continues for ten days

The search continues in the Karachayevsky District of the Karachayevsky District for a Moscow tourist who disappeared on June 19 while rafting on the Uchkulan River.

Rescuers have already surveyed the most challenging sections of the Uchkulan and Kuban Rivers, covering over 150 km. Canine handlers have been brought in to assist the search. The coastal area, riverbeds, and adjacent terrain are being searched. Twenty-two people are involved in the search operation.

The incident occurred on June 19. Two tourists from Moscow were rafting on the Uchkulan River in the Karachayevsky District when their catamaran capsized, causing both to fall into the water. One of the men managed to save himself, while the other was pulled under by the strong current.
