Eight people fined in Karachay-Cherkessia and Kabardino-Balkaria for not standing up during the performance of the Russian anthem

Eight residents of Karachay-Cherkessia and Kabardino-Balkaria were fined 2,000 rubles for disrespecting the Russian anthem. Administrative protocols were drawn up against them under Article 17.10 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (violation of the procedure for the official use of state symbols of the Russian Federation).

According to investigators, in January and February 2025, eight participants deliberately did not stand up during the performance of the Russian anthem during sporting events.

Recall that last year in Kabardino-Balkaria, nine citizens were fined 3,000 rubles on a similar charge. It was reported that the parents of ninth-graders did not rise from their seats during the performance of the anthem at the graduation ceremony at School No. 33.
