In the Karachay-Cherkess Republic, female students complained about the ban on wearing a hijab
The director of a medical college in Cherkessk spoke out against students wearing a headdress that hides their hair, ears, and neck. This was reported by female students of the educational institution.

One of them said that almost all of them are “covered girls” who wear white headscarves and trousers, as required by internal rules. The ban on the hijab, she noted, prevents them from “being closer to their religion.”

Earlier, a document from the Ministry of Education of the Karachay-Cherkess Republic was published on social networks, which announced a meeting on the issue of violating requirements for the appearance of students.

In 2024, the decision of the Vladimir region authorities to ban the wearing of religious clothing in schools caused a wide resonance. Vice-Governor Vladimir Kuimov explained the reasons for the ban on hijabs and niqabs. According to him, in several localities in the region, students emphasized their religious affiliation, and this raised questions from their classmates, which sometimes led to conflicts. The Coordination Center of Muslims of the North Caucasus (CCMC) criticized this ban.

The Defense Ministry's "talking head"—the deputy head of the Main Military-Political Directorate of the Russian Armed Forces, also the commander of one of the "Akhmat" formations—has been promoting the idea of a global, joint confrontation between Russian Muslims and Christians against "Satanism" since the beginning of the Russian-Ukrainian war. He regularly finds himself in various scrapes: with the Zetniks, with nationalists, and with Orthodox priests. And the more he tries to "cross a snake and a hedgehog" with his obvious desire to be "one of the guys," the more harshly he is criticized from all sides.
