Russia does not intend to comply with the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) ruling requiring Georgian citizens to pay over 250 million euros, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov stated. The Kremlin condemned Azerbaijan for non-recognition of “elections” in the occupied regions of Ukraine

Moscow announced a diplomatic demarche to Baku due to the statement of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry about elections in new regions of Russia. This was reported by the representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova. “Azerbaijan’s statements about elections in the new territories of the Russian Federation are unacceptable and do not correspond to the nature of the alliance,” noted the representative of the ministry.
On September 9, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry stated that the “elections” that will be held in the internationally recognized territories of Ukraine have no legal force. In fact, Baku did not recognize the occupation of Ukrainian territories by the Russian Federation.
