In Makhachkala, the airport was closed due to a crowd breaking through, looking for arriving Jews

The Federal Air Transport Agency announced that due to the entry of unknown persons onto the apron of the Makhachkala airport, a decision was made to temporarily close it. The planes that were supposed to land in Makhachkala were redirected to alternate airfields - in Sochi, Kavminvody and Moscow.

It all started when, before the arrival of a flight from Tel Aviv, hundreds of people gathered at the airport building in Makhachkala and began to stop cars leaving its territory. Before this, appropriate calls were circulated in telegram channels. Those gathered checked the passports of people in cars and looked for Jews. The crowd then stormed the airport building, chanting "Allahu Akbar" and shouting slogans in support of Palestine and against Israel. Protesters surrounded the plane on the runway. As a result, the flight was redirected to another airport.

State Duma deputy Milonov called on the protesting Dagestanis to show their courage at the SVO, and not at the airport.

Meanwhile, in Makhachkala, special forces of the Russian Guard and reinforced police squads were brought out into the streets. People attacked the local police car.

The Department of the Investigative Committee for Dagestan opened a criminal case under Article 212 of mass riots (organizing mass riots accompanied by violence, pogroms, arson, destruction of property, the use of firearms, explosives or explosive devices, as well as armed resistance to a government official). RIA Dagestan reports this.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs stated that the identities of all riot participants will be established using CCTV cameras.
