In Moscow, as a result of an explosion in an elite residential complex, the founder of the Armenian battalion fighting against Ukraine was killed
As a result of an explosion in the elite residential complex "Scarlet Sails", located in the northwest of Moscow, Armen Sargsyan was fatally wounded. He was the president of the DPR Boxing Federation and the creator of the "Arbat" battalion, fighting on the side of the Russian Federation against Ukraine.

In December 2024, the Security Service of Ukraine reported that Sargsyan was suspected under several articles of the Criminal Code - "voluntary participation in illegal armed formations or providing such formations with assistance in conducting military operations against the Armed Forces of Ukraine" and "aiding the aggressor state".

According to the latest information, as a result of the explosion in the "Scarlet Sails" residential complex, one more person was killed. At least four people were also injured. The News Agency writes that among the victims was Sergei Shkryabatovsky, who in 2014 was a security guard for then-President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych.

Preliminary, the organization of the explosion could have been an assassination attempt on Armen Sargsyan, which the Russian operational services considered to be a contract killing and carefully planned.
