A student from Dagestan was detained in Moscow on suspicion of arson on the railway
The Moscow transport police reported the detention of an 18-year-old native of Dagestan. The student of one of the capital's colleges is suspected of setting fire to railway equipment on the stretch of the Malchiki - Lyubertsy-2 stations near Moscow. As a result of the actions of the perpetrator, a battery cabinet for the backup power supply of a traffic light burned down.
 
During interrogation, the young man said that an unknown person in a messenger offered him to commit arson for a reward of 40 thousand rubles. The criminal case is being investigated under the article on a terrorist act, which provides for 15 to 20 years of imprisonment.
 
“At night, the perpetrator went to the place indicated by the curator, bent the door of the battery cabinet and, using a flammable liquid and a lighter, set it on fire. The young man filmed his actions and sent it to the customer, but he never received the promised money for the “work” he had done,” the press service of the Central Federal District Transport Police Department said in a statement.
