Another serviceman sent to prison in Nalchik for evading military service

The Nalchik Garrison Military Court sentenced a serviceman named Zakoroev to five years in prison. He was accused of leaving his unit without permission.

According to investigators, on February 14, 2025, during mobilization, Zakoroev left his military unit in Vladikavkaz without permission. In mid-May, police officers found him in Mozdok.

The defendant admitted his guilt and expressed regret for what he had done. The court sentenced him to five years in prison.

Earlier, the Nalchik Garrison Military Court had already sentenced contract soldiers and mobilized soldiers to real prison terms many times. In particular, Algiz Valitov received two years in prison, and Amerkhan Kurskiyev received five years. Arsen Baev and Murat Khapov were sentenced to seven and five years in prison, respectively.
