In Nalchik, another serviceman was sentenced to prison for evading military service

The Nalchik Garrison Military Court sentenced a serviceman named Shkhagapsoev to one year in prison. He was accused of unauthorized abandonment of his unit.

According to investigators, in February, Shkhagapsoev failed to show up for duty at a unit stationed in Dagestan without good reason. Twenty days later, he went to the police station in the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic. Later, as part of a criminal case, he was found guilty of committing a crime under Part 3.1 of Article 337 of the Criminal Code (unauthorized abandonment of the place of service).

Previously, the Nalchik Garrison Military Court had already sentenced contract soldiers and mobilized personnel to real terms many times. In particular, Algiz Valitov received two years in prison, and Amerkhan Kurskiyev received five years. In addition, Arsen Baev and Murat Khapov were sentenced to seven and five years of imprisonment, respectively.
