In Nalchik, a serviceman was sentenced to five years for failing to report for duty.

A court hearing at the Nalchik Garrison Military Court concluded with the sentencing of Astemir Maremukov. He received a five-year prison sentence in a penal colony for evading military service during the mobilization process.

According to the case file, Maremukov failed to report to his military unit on December 9, 2025. Some time later, on February 17, 2026, he voluntarily reported to the military investigative body in Nalchik. He spent the entire period of his absence at his place of residence.

During the trial, the defendant expressed remorse for his actions and admitted his guilt. He was ultimately sentenced to five years in prison.

The Nalchik Garrison Military Court has repeatedly handed down guilty verdicts, carrying prison terms, for servicemen. The list of those convicted includes Algiz Valitov, who received a two-year sentence; Ramazan Lukozhev, Ruslan Murzakayev, Timur Yandiev, and Amerkhan Kurskiyev, who were each sentenced to five years; and Arsen Baev, who was sentenced to seven years.
