Flood-related landslides continue in some areas of Chechnya

A 200-meter-long landslide occurred in the village of Ilskhan-Yurt in the Kurchaloy District of the Chechen Republic. Eight houses were damaged. Round-the-clock monitoring of residential buildings continues, according to a district administration representative.

Flood results in the republic:
— More than 100 houses were completely destroyed, over 3,000 were damaged;
— Residents have submitted 2,400 compensation claims;
— 39 settlements in 9 districts and 2 urban districts (Grozny, Argun) were affected by the disaster;
— There were no casualties or injuries.

Current situation according to the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations as of April 6: River levels are falling, water has been pumped out of 557 houses, and 1,260 houses and plots remain flooded. Fifteen road bridges and 15 pedestrian bridges were destroyed or damaged.

Particular agricultural losses were recorded in the Gudermes and Achkhoy-Martan districts: crops on 693 hectares were destroyed. In addition, 130 tons of seed rice were written off from a flooded warehouse.
