The search for missing Ossetian Anna Tsomartova has begun in the UAE

Interpol in the United Arab Emirates has joined the search for Anna Tsomartova, a student from North Ossetia. The search was prompted by a photo her parents received from Dubai, possibly showing their daughter.

The girl's mother recently visited the UAE to seek assistance from local police in the search. However, she claims she was told an official request from the Russian consulate was required. Now, according to the woman, the Russian consulate has sent a note to Abu Dhabi, where the Interpol National Central Office for the UAE is located. She has been assured that the documents have been accepted and a search for Anna has begun.

Anna Tsomartova disappeared in February 2024 in Kaspiysk, Dagestan, after a Muay Thai tournament. She left her hotel and went to the sea and disappeared. A criminal case for murder has been opened in Russia, and the Investigative Committee is overseeing the investigation.
