The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) has published a report alleging that Georgian authorities used chemical weapons during the suppression of pro-European protests in Tbilisi in 2024. The chemical weapon in question is bromobenzyl cyanide, a chemical warfare agent dating back to World War I, also known as "kamit."

On the night of September 13, the situation on the border between Azerbaijan and Armenia deteriorated again. According to the Armenian Ministry of Defense, Azerbaijan began shelling in the direction of the border cities of Vardenis, Goris, Kapan and the villages of Sotk, Artanish, Ishkhanasar. Baku, in turn, accuses Yerevan of “large-scale sabotage” on the border in the Dashkesan, Kelbajar and Lachin directions. As a result, over a week of fighting, according to official data, more than 280 people were killed on both sides: 277 Armenians and 77 Azerbaijanis.
