In a number of regions of the North Caucasian Federal District, the number of serious and especially serious crimes has increased

In January–September 2023, four regions of the North Caucasian Federal District showed an increase in serious and especially serious crimes. These are Ingushetia (+16.1%), Kabardino-Balkaria (+12.4%), Stavropol Territory (+4.8%) and North Ossetia (+8.8%). At the same time, the Ministry of Internal Affairs announced an increase in the detection rate of murders, rapes, assaults, and robberies.

On average, 9.8% more serious crimes were recorded in Russia. The detection rate of crimes has increased: robberies - up to 96.9%, robberies - up to 86.9%, thefts - up to 45.4%, including apartments - up to 64.6%, vehicles - up to 50.2%. There is also an increase in crimes committed by foreigners. Every fourth criminal case is related to drugs.
