A fire broke out in the Alania Mall shopping center in Vladikavkaz. The cause was a domestic gas explosion. Nine people were injured, one person died.
 
The head of North Ossetia reported that the deceased was a cleaner who was inside the building during the emergency. According to the emergency services, there were no visitors in the building during the fire, only the center's employees and passersby were injured.
 
Investigators and forensic experts have left for the scene, the Investigative Committee of the Republic reports. The open fire in the shopping center has been extinguished. The area of ​​the fire, which engulfed the third floor and the roof, was 800 square meters. The fire has been assigned the third rank of complexity. Rescuers continue to work.
