The Russian Federation was afraid that the West would leave Armenia with its "traditions"

The USA and the West want to completely reorient Armenia to a pro-Western course of development according to the schemes tested in Ukraine and Moldova. This was announced by the Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) of the Russian Federation.

"In order to achieve the "high goal" of joining the so-called civilized community led by the USA, the Armenian people will have to pay by renouncing their own traditions and national social institutions. As well as stable trade and economic relations with its closest partners from the EAEU, which have ensured the dynamic growth of its economy in recent years, which meet the interests of Armenia. Thus, Washington is persistently pushing Armenia to national "suicide", - the SVR report notes.

Earlier, FSB Director Bortnikov stated that the West is trying to get Armenia out of the CSTO.

"In exchange for preferential supplies of weapons and security guarantees, the West is pushing the Armenian government to withdraw from the CSTO. This will put Yerevan even more dependent on NATO," Bortnikov said.

Let us remind you that Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan noted that the CSTO "created threats to the country's sovereignty." According to him, the next step after the suspension of participation in the organization will be to leave it.
