Vladimir Zhilinsky, former coordinator of the Golos voters' rights movement, who was detained in Armenia, has been released. The arrest was related to the activist's status as a wanted activist in Russia.
The representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Zakharova spoke about the statement of Armenian Prime Minister Nikola Pashinyan that it is not his country that is leaving the CSTO, «but the CSTO is leaving Armenia».
«These are the words of Mikhail Bulgakov ("Who stood on whom?)" and Konstantin Stanislavsky ("It is necessary to love art in oneself and not oneself in art"), - Maria Zakharova explained during the briefing. She added that she leaves the conclusions about the statement of the Armenian Prime Minister to the journalists themselves.
Pashinyan considers it inappropriate to ask whether Armenia will leave the CSTO. According to the Armenian Prime Minister, another production is appropriate: will the CSTO leave Armenia. We will gladly receive the quota of the CSTO Deputy Secretary, if this position does not work out, that we send the wrong message to our people, if it will be another factor to security. Otherwise we do not see the meaning of this position», - said the Prime Minister at a press conference.
Pashinyan added that Yerevan appealed to the CSTO about Baku’s aggression under various articles, but did not receive due assessment.
