Another Stalin monument to appear in Russia
The Orel City Council deputies voted to develop a project for the Alley of Victors. Monuments to Stalin, Zhukov, and Rokossovsky will be erected there.

"Let the Alley of Victors strengthen faith in Victory," the City Council press service said.

A monument to Stalin was recently unveiled in Vologda. According to Vologda Region Governor Georgy Filimonov, the Soviet leader "left an indelible mark on history, having taken over the country with a plough and leaving it with a nuclear bomb."

In addition, a bust of Stalin appeared in the village of Nart in the Ardon District of North Ossetia. As Kazbek Tautiev, chairman of the public movement "For Our Vladikavkaz," noted, the appearance of new monuments to the leader of the USSR is explained by society's demand for an objective coverage of history.

Let us recall that on February 23, 1944, Soviet General Secretary Joseph Stalin gave the order to deport Chechens and Ingush from the North Caucasus to Central Asia and Siberia. This act was recognized as genocide by many countries of the world and the European Parliament. Half a million people were forced to leave their homes. The number of victims during the deportation exceeded a third of the total number of peoples. In addition, Kalmyks, Karachays, Balkars, Crimean Tatars and other peoples were deported.
