Berlin has recalled its ambassador to Georgia, Peter Fischer, for consultations. The decision, made by German Foreign Minister Johann Wadepoel, is intended to determine how to proceed, the ministry announced.

Deputies of the People's Assembly of Ingushetia have elected Makhmud-Ali Kalimatov as the head of the republic for a second term. This was reported on September 8 by the press service of the regional government. 25 out of 30 parliamentarians voted for the candidacy of the current head.
The three-day voting in the elections for the governor of Stavropol has also ended. After processing 100% of the protocols, it became clear that the current head of the region, Vladimir Vladimirov, is leading by a significant margin (79.61%).
As for the elections of deputies of the regional parliament of Karachay-Cherkessia, after processing 100% of the protocols, it turned out that the United Russia party won, having received 65.14% of the votes. A total of 50 deputy mandates will be distributed based on the results of the vote.
A similar situation is with the elections to the parliament of Kabardino-Balkaria. There, United Russia also received the most votes - 65.71% of the votes. 70 deputy mandates will be filled in the republic. The elections of the head of the KBR should be held no later than October 23. Before that, the deputies of the regional parliament will be approved.
