Rosgvardiya claims to have detained two Dagestan residents "linked to terrorism"

Rosgvardiya has reported the detention of two local residents in Dagestan whom security forces describe as being "linked to terrorism." The agency did not specify the exact charges brought against the men.

The operation was carried out by the "Yastreb-Kaspiy" (Hawk-Caspian) unit. According to Rosgvardiya, one individual was detained in Dagestanskiye Ogni and the other in the village of Kayakent; both were subsequently taken to the police.

The agency did not disclose the detainees' names or the circumstances of the case. There is also no information regarding their procedural status or the specific actions the investigation alleges they committed. Security forces have not presented evidence linking the men to terrorist activity.

Such reports from Russian security agencies often appear without details that would allow for independent verification of the allegations. The position of the detainees and their lawyers in this instance remains unknown.

On the same day, the FSB announced another detention—this time in Krasnodar. According to the security service, an assassination attempt against a military enlistment office employee was thwarted there. The detainee is accused of high treason, participation in the activities of a terrorist organization, and the illegal acquisition of an explosive device. He has been remanded in custody, though his name and stance on the case have not been disclosed.
