In North Ossetia, a contract soldier was sentenced to 5.5 years for failure to appear in a military unit

The Vladikavkaz garrison military court sentenced contract serviceman Atsamaz Dzagoev to 5.5 years in a penal colony. He was found guilty under Part 5 of Art. 337 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (failure to appear during mobilization).

The court found that on November 22, 2022, Dzagoev, without good reason, did not appear at the military unit and was absent until January 18, 2023.
