Today, Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov posted a joint photo on his Telegram channel with the senator from Dagestan, billionaire Suleiman Kerimov, with whom he had a violent conflict last summer and fall. Kadyrov and Kerimov found themselves on opposite sides of a family dispute over the Wildberries marketplace.
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken announced the alleged danger of an Azerbaijani invasion of Armenia in the coming weeks, Politico reports, citing sources.
“U.S. Secretary of State Blinken warned a small group of lawmakers last week that his department was monitoring the possibility of an Azerbaijani invasion of Armenia,” Politico writes. It was noted that a briefing was held in the United States on the situation in Azerbaijan, the details of which are unknown.
According to the publication, Blinken said that his country does not plan to renew the agreement (Section 907 of the Freedom Support Act) to stop American aid to Azerbaijan. Article 907 of the US Law, adopted under pressure from the Armenian lobby, provides for the cessation of any assistance to Azerbaijan. In the fall of 2001, the Senate passed an amendment giving the president the right to suspend this article. This was last done on June 21, 2022.
