Another rally against the deportation of a Chechen refugee to Russia was held in Switzerland

In the suburbs of Bern, the capital of Switzerland, in front of the State Secretariat for Migration, a rally of the Chechen diaspora was held in defense of Ali Bataev, a native of the republic. In September 2022, he was placed in a deportation center, and now they can extradite him to Russia.

Bataev went on a hunger strike in protest and has been holding it for more than 40 days. The rally participants demanded from the Swiss authorities a fair treatment of the refugee and his emergency hospitalization. If deported to the Russian Federation, Bataev faces torture and death for criticizing the Chechen authorities.
