The Georgian Parliament has expeditiously passed a bill in its third and final reading requiring organizers of protests in "places where people gather or where vehicles are moving" (including on sidewalks) to notify the police. The responsible person must contact the Patrol Service Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (located at the location of the demonstration) in writing no later than five days before the rally.
United Russia member Azat Khamaev, at a meeting of the Tatarstan parliament, criticized the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, for beating prisoners and awarding his son the title of Hero. The deputy did not name the names of these prisoners.
“The first question I asked myself: what legal field do we live in? The head of a subject of the Russian Federation awards the title of hero to his son for beating a man. Further, developing his idea, he says that he is the hero of all Muslims. Who can answer? – Khamaev addressed the audience. Parliament did not react to his words in any way.
Let us recall that in August, Nikita Zhuravel, a student from Volgograd who was arrested for burning the Koran, said that he was beaten by the son of the head of Chechnya, Adam. A month later, Ramzan Kadyrov published a video of the beating. Two weeks later, he announced that his son was awarded the title “Hero of the Chechen Republic.”
