Berlin has recalled its ambassador to Georgia, Peter Fischer, for consultations. The decision, made by German Foreign Minister Johann Wadepoel, is intended to determine how to proceed, the ministry announced.

A court in Zaporozhye in Ukraine sentenced Azamat Khasbulatov and Said Huseynov, members of the Makhachkala riot police unit, to 12 years each. Soon after the start of the SVO, they tortured civilians - the defendants were found guilty of violating the laws and customs of war.
According to investigators, in the city of Vasilyevka, Zaporozhye region of Ukraine, Khasbulatov was appointed deputy head of the city’s military administration, and Huseynov was appointed his assistant. Both took part in the torture of local residents. The case involves four victims: they were beaten with a baton and tortured with electric shock, they had a bag put over their heads and their relatives were threatened.
In particular, on March 26, Huseynov, together with other military personnel, came to the head of the village of Verkhnyaya Krinitsa, Vasilyevsky district, Sergei Yavorsky, and demanded lists of people who received weapons to protect Vasilyevka. The man was then tortured.
Brothers Evgeniy and Alexander Shevchenko and Ivan Malysh were also kidnapped. Everyone at the trial reported torture by the accused.
