Armenian authorities recognize Karabakh as part of Azerbaijan

Karabakh was and is an internationally recognized territory of Azerbaijan. This was stated by the speaker of the Armenian parliament Alen Simonyan.

According to him, Turkey's involvement in the process of settling the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict is obvious, but Ankara is not a mediator in the negotiations and such a proposal has not been received from it.

Earlier, Simonyan stated that Armenia is not against signing a peace treaty with Azerbaijan on the sidelines of the COP29 conference, which will be held in Baku in November.

"Within an hour, the President of Azerbaijan can contact us via known means of communication and say that let's discuss the format of signing and the place, and the Armenian side will sign," Simonyan said.

From October 22 to 24, Armenia will take part in the BRICS summit in Kazan, but at this stage Yerevan is not discussing the possibility of becoming a member of the association. This was announced by the country's Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan. Earlier, Armenia refused to actually participate in the activities of the CSTO.
