The Russian authorities hinted at possible support for the Georgian Dream

Russia is ready to help the ruling party of Georgia retain power if it turns to Moscow with a corresponding request. This statement was made by Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation Andrei Klimov at a meeting of the Club of Friends of Russia in Moscow.

Klimov also discussed Georgia’s accession to the CSTO. He said that Georgia must want this, but noted that the main thing is not to be late.

Recently, the State Security Service (SSS) of Georgia began calling volunteers who fought for Ukraine for interrogation under articles of coup d'etat and terrorism.

“This is an order from the Kremlin, which is being carried out by Bidzina Ivanishvili. The government in this case is only an executor. When Russia began to initiate criminal cases against our fighters, this was an indicator for us that the Georgian government could potentially also begin an investigation, could begin criminal prosecution,” shared the commander of the Georgian Legion, Mamuka Mamulashvili.
