The Kyiv District Court of Simferopol remanded four Crimean Tatar women: Esma Nimetulayeva, Elviza Aliyeva, Nasiba Saidova, and Fevziye Osmanova, in pretrial detention for two months. The hearing was held behind closed doors, with limited access for support.

The “Union of Chechens of France” appealed to the country’s authorities with a request to promptly investigate the murder of Chechen refugee Islam Taikhaev. He was beaten in the city of Cahors and died two days later from his injuries.
The president of the Union of Chechens of France, Ramzan Magomadov, said that on July 5, Taikhaev tried to calm a group of young people who were noisy, and was beaten for this. He died in the hospital. Magomadov added that in April of this year, 18-year-old Chechen Askhab Mazhidov died in similar circumstances in the city of Miramas.
“Often the victims of drug dealers and other criminal elements are Chechens who, due to their mentality, cannot turn a blind eye to what is happening in their areas,” shared the head of the Union of Chechens of France.
