Another assassination attempt on Azerbaijani political emigrant in France
After being wounded in France, Azerbaijani government critic Vidadi Iskenderli was placed in intensive care and is being guarded by the police. He suggested that the assassination attempt was carried out on the orders of the Azerbaijani authorities.
An unknown person stabbed Vidadi Iskenderli in the arm and head after breaking into his apartment through a window in the city of Mulhouse. Two others stood at the door. All three were wearing masks.
Two years ago, Iskenderli was also attacked. The police established that it was the work of local criminal groups. The victim then claimed that the order came from the Azerbaijani authorities.
In 2012, Iskenderli received political asylum in Georgia and then moved to France.
