Suspects in attack on natives of Ingushetia detained in Vladimir Region

Police detained three residents of the city of Kamenskovo in the Vladimir Region, suspected of participating in a conflict with natives of Ingushetia. According to eyewitnesses and victims, the incident was accompanied by nationalist shouts and insults.

Law enforcement officers opened a criminal case on intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm and hooliganism, according to an official statement from the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The department noted that the conflict arose on domestic grounds.

Recall that on May 6, a mass brawl took place near a hotel in the city of Kamenskovo in the Vladimir Region. It is reported that the natives of Ingushetia may have been attacked by members of the "Russian Community" movement. State Duma deputy from Chechnya Adam Delimkhanov called on law enforcement agencies to respond to the nationalist incident.

"What is happening on the video is pure nationalism and lawlessness, which must be thoroughly investigated and the instigators punished. Unfortunately, when something like this happens to national minorities, law enforcement officers often turn a blind eye to it," Delimkhanov said.

Senator from Ingushetia Mikail Ilezov reported that the incident is under the control of the head of the region, Makhmud-Ali Kalimatov. Permanent Representative of Ingushetia to the President of the Russian Federation Magomed Malsagov held a meeting with relatives of the victims.
