Tourist flow to Azerbaijan has increased

In January-July 2024, 1.5 million tourists from 182 countries visited Azerbaijan, which is 31.4% more than in the same period last year. This was reported by the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan.

Among the visitors, the largest number was from Russia (29.2%), Turkey (16.5%), India (9.3%), Iran (8.3%) and Saudi Arabia (4.2%).

In January-July of this year, the total number of Azerbaijani citizens who traveled abroad increased by 23.1% compared to the same period last year and amounted to 1 million 223 thousand people. Of these, 41.2% of citizens visited Turkey, 21.4% - Russia, 8.7% - Georgia, 8.6% - Iran, 20.1% - other countries.
