The Georgian Parliament has expeditiously passed a bill in its third and final reading requiring organizers of protests in "places where people gather or where vehicles are moving" (including on sidewalks) to notify the police. The responsible person must contact the Patrol Service Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (located at the location of the demonstration) in writing no later than five days before the rally.
A cassation was sent to the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation in the case of a native of Ingushetia, Abo Dobriev, who was sentenced to life in 2021. The defense claims that the accusation is based on the testimony of a witness who slandered the man and is not supported by other evidence.
According to investigators, in June 2010, Abo Dobriev joined the armed group created by Dokku Umarov and Ali Taziev, and took an active part in the commission of grave and especially grave crimes. In the period from October 2010 to August 2012, on the territory of the republics of Ingushetia and North Ossetia, Dobriev killed an employee of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and armed attacks on employees of the UGIBDD, OMON, the Central Emergency Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and servicemen of the internal troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of which five of them died, four more received wounds.
Dobriev himself denied his guilt. And his father had previously appealed to the Prosecutor General of Russia and human rights activists with a request to prevent the fabrication of a criminal case against his son.
