A RIA Novosti study revealed significant differences in car affordability across Russian regions. The worst situation is observed in the North Caucasus republics, where only a small proportion of families can afford to purchase and maintain a new car on credit.
Zelensky: "The European Union must put pressure on the pro-Russian Georgian government"
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky called on the EU to put pressure on the Georgian government at a meeting of the European Council in Brussels. According to him, "the Russian-controlled mafia in Georgia is working to drag the country under Putin's influence and distract it from the European path," and the EU's task is to "put pressure on the pro-Russian Georgian government."
Zelensky stressed that the greatest pressure should be put on the Georgian oligarch, founder of the ruling Georgian Dream party Bidzina Ivanishvili and "his friends," "so as not to allow them to benefit from Georgia's stolen European future and lost decades of progress." In addition, the Ukrainian president called for the maximum involvement of not only his country, but also Moldova and the Balkan countries in EU structures.
Earlier, Zelensky noted that the West did not respond decisively enough to the situation in Georgia and Russia's efforts to establish control over it. He recalled that Ukraine's loss in the war would lead to "explosions of war" both in Europe and beyond.
