Law enforcement officials explained the document's origins in connection with the upcoming holiday on May 9th, but such actions typically occur shortly before the Day of Remembrance for the Victims of the Deportation of the Crimean Tatar People (May 18th).
Zelensky expressed gratitude to Azerbaijan for humanitarian assistance
President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky thanked Azerbaijan for its assistance in the energy sector.
The day before, Azerbaijan sent Ukraine another batch of humanitarian aid worth $7.6 million. It includes cable products necessary to restore power supply in affected regions.
In December 2022, Azerbaijan sent more than 100 generators and transformers to Ukraine. The total cost of humanitarian aid during the war is about $33 million.
