A resident of Dagestan was convicted for leaving the military unit, despite being wounded in Ukraine
The Makhachkala garrison military court sentenced serviceman Zagir Shirinov to five and a half years' probation. He was found guilty of disobeying an order and leaving a unit during the war against Ukraine, despite being wounded there.
In October 2022, Shirinov left the place of service, but a month later he appeared at the military registration and enlistment office. Soon he left the unit again and at the end of the year came to the military investigation department. All this time he lived at home.
The man was sentenced to probation. The court took into account Shirinov's previous trip to Ukraine, his injury there, and his desire to go back to the front.
